Connect your assistant

Add Persistent Flow as a connector in Claude, ChatGPT or another MCP client, and sign in.

You need a Persistent Flow account (start on the Free plan) and an assistant that supports custom connectors. Each client below has been connected by us; the steps are the same ones shown on Connections.

The connector address for every client:

https://api.persistentflow.com/mcp

Gemini CLIverified by us
  1. Open your Gemini CLI settings — ~/.gemini/settings.json for every project, or .gemini/settings.json inside one.
  2. Add this entry and save:
    {
      "mcpServers": {
        "persistent-flow": {
          "httpUrl": "https://api.persistentflow.com/mcp"
        }
      }
    }
  3. Start gemini and run /mcp to confirm persistent-flow is connected, signing in when prompted.

Check that it works

  1. Ask for the menu. Type flow menu as a normal message (no leading slash — in Claude Desktop and ChatGPT the “/” key belongs to the app).
  2. Save something small. Type flow save Our support line opens at 08:00.
  3. Recall it elsewhere. Open a new chat, or a different assistant, and ask “When does our support line open?”

Commands are read by the assistant, not by a fixed parser. If one is misunderstood, say “use the flow tool with command …”.

Sign-in and tokens

Connectors sign in through your browser; there is no token to paste. Developers can also create personal API tokens in the admin console for scripts. A read-only token can search but never save.
